Etsy Purchases

I love buying things from Etsy and having them arrive wrapped up like presents. I know I bought them for myself, but I still feel like someone's sent me a wonderful treat.

I bought some vintage Schiaparelli scarves, and another quirky, cute necklace from one of my favourite Etsy sellers, Lychee Kiss. She's one of those sellers who you don't really want to tell anyone about so that her shop can be your own special secret -- but that's not fair, and I certainly don't want her to go out of business, so please do go and check out her work! She's based in Hawaii, but distance doesn't seem to matter, because everything I've had from her has arrived in super-quick time.

Colouring Competition

Well, @iamjamesward ran a competition on Twitter in which he asked people to colour in a square. I made this because I thought if I made any lines, I wouldn't really be doing 'colouring in' as such, I'd be drawing. So I filled the box with coloured dots. Although I did want the dots to form some kind of pattern, which I hope they have.

Edit: I ended up winning the competition because some of my friends with lots of followers RTd my 'vote for me!' request, so I got more votes than I think I otherwise would have. I think Hencehemmo was the real winner. I'm too embarrassed to send James my address and accept the prize. But I'm quite pleased with my square, all the same. Thank you to everyone who voted for it.

Marmite Bites

I tried out this recipe for Marmite bites. No photos of them (snaffled up too quickly) but here's the picture of the recipe page which @violetcreme sent me.

Robust Sennheiser Engineering

It's not like I'm particularly careless or rough with my earphones, but I seem to get through a set every three months. The wiring frays and the sound only comes out of one ear, or the jack wrenches out like this... They're about £80 each! I'm fed up with expensive earphones -- only cheap ones for me from now on. I'm willing to sacrifice the sound quality until Sennheiser can invent some earphones that don't crumble to dust as soon as you press 'play' on your mp3 player.
