China Girls

 More photos under the cut...

A selection of photos from our holiday in Guangdong and Hong Kong in February 2007. I am very grateful to Gigi's parents for being my generous hosts and allowing me to tag along on all their trips and family occasions.

In a forest in Guangdong, near the Reservoir of the Sky -- we were driven there by the Forestry Commissioner himself, because Gigi's dad was researching a book about the area.We drank this water, it was very sweet and clear.

The Yao settlement, high in the misty mountains.

Outside the temple in the Yao settlement. Gigi throws New Year firecrackers to chase away bad spirits.
In front of the facade of San Paulo in Macau. The rest of the church was burnt down by a lightning strike.
Traditional colonial Portuguese Macanese architecture.
Our casino hotel in Macau.

View from the apartment at the Peak, Hong Kong.
New Year flower market, Hong Kong.

2007 was the Year of the Pig.
