Cat Puppet

My cat puppet is finished!

He needed to be made from a light material that was easy to mould, so I decided to use tin foil and gaffer tape as the base.  His facial features are snipped from an old toy rabbit (sorry, rabbit!  It was just so much quicker and cheaper to buy a £1 charity shop toy than packets of toy parts from a craft shop).

Sawn-up chopsticks for the rods.

Now covered in Milliput.  He looks very creepy indeed in this state!

Painted in Airfix model acrylic and drying in the airing cupboard.  I decided to make him all black because it'd be cheapest if he was all one colour and black materials would be easy to find.  But the teacher told me, "It's really good, it's lovely... but do bear in mind that in the theatre, black is the colour we use to make things disappear."  So he's an invisible cat.

With white highlights added, glittery black fabric body added and fluffy maribou tail.
