Wake Up to Laser Eye Surgery!

This looks quite gruesome, but it doesn't hurt at all and is totally harmless! In fact, my other eye, which has hardly any redness, is the one that actually feels a bit gritty and uncomfortable. The redness happened because of the corneal suction ring which they put on the eye to hold it still. It made some tiny blood vessels burst, 'causing bleeding or subconjunctival hemorrhage into the white of the eye'. It will have disappeared in a few weeks.

Still very light-sensitive -- I was scrupulously careful to make sure the flash was off!
